Millions of cricket fans were on toes for an extraordinary match between India and Pak but rain came in between and the Match ended in no result.
At Pallekele on September 2, 2023, during the Asia Cup 2023 match between India and Pakistan, rain was the victorious.
Pakistan was unable to face even a single delivery from the Indian bowlers as they attempted to chase down a target score of 267. Fans in Pallekele were unable to see the chase from the Pakistani batters because the rain continued to plague the stadium.
The vital match was called off because the cutoff time for a 20-over game is 10.27 pm, and the groundsmen required additional time to prepare the pitch for play. Therefore, the umpires opted to call it off. Players come together in a handshake, and it is decided that both teams will receive one point.
Pakistan made it to super 4
Pakistan was able to secure a spot in the Asia Cup super 4s despite the fact that this match had to be abandoned. On September 4, India will play a match against Nepal.
India made a total of 266 during the one-day international match that took place on September 2 at Pallekele versus Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023. Earlier in the game, stunning half-centuries were scored by Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan.

India got off to a slow start in their first innings after winning the toss and deciding to bat first. Rohit Sharma and Shubhman Gill both took it easy and played it safe. But shortly after play was resumed following two brief interruptions due to weather, India suffered four wickets in rapid succession. The wickets of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were taken by Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Haris Rauf took the wickets of Shubhman Gill and Shreyas Iyer.
After suffering the loss of four wickets, the innings was brought back under control by Ishan Kishan (82) and Hardik Pandya (87). Bowlers from Pakistan were able to prevent the game from falling into the hands of India by removing Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya from the playing field.
